PIZZA, MOVIE & A TOUR: THE LAST DAYS
Tuesday, September 10, 2013

Join the Kennesaw State University Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) for a special screening of The Last Days as part of our Pizza, Movie & a Tour series. The MHHE will be open for tours preceding the movie, and a pizza dinner will be served. No reservations are required but seating is limited.

Produced by Steven Spielberg, the Academy Award-winning documentary examines the final months of World War II when the Nazi regime devoted its dwindling manpower to the extermination of Hungarian Jews. With defeat in sight, the Nazis enacted the Final Solution with renewed vigor. Five Holocaust survivors recount their harrowing experiences hiding in Budapest, surviving Auschwitz, and returning to life after the war.

Other contributors to the film include a Jewish historian, a Nazi doctor who conducted experiments on prisoners, and American servicemen who liberated concentration camps. Because of some graphic imagery, the film is unsuitable for children under 13.

Date: 09/10/2013
Time: Tours begin at 5:30 p.m.; movie at 6:00 p.m.
Free & open to the public
