On Saturday, May 6, 2023, KSU will host the 2023 Georgia Elementary Science State Tournament for more than 1,300 elementary students, on teams from aproxiamately 62 schools across the state of Georgia. The Olympiad consists of a series of team events in the various science disciplinesof biologu, earth science, chemistry, physics, and engineering. The state-wide tournament is preceded y additional tournaments such as regional Olympiad competitions. For additional information about the Olympiad, please visit: https://www.georgiascienceteacher.org/GAESO.

The Science Olympiad is dedicated to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science, and providing recognition for outstanding student achievement. With that said, we are always looking for volunteers to donate their time and expertise as the Olympiad would not exist without you. Specifically, we need volunteers to assist with registering and checking in teams, supervising events, running events, scoring events, directing attendees, handing out medals, and overseeing all the little details for crowds of up to 2,500 people. We will provide FREE breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt for your time and efforts.
