School of Government and International Affairs is organizing a special event with KSU Student Leadership and KSU Libraries on the US elections. A panel of professors from the School of Government and International Affairs will review the results of the 2024 election with a focus on how it will impact American politics and the lives of average Americans. Faculty panelist will also answer students’ questions and concerns. This is an Owl Creed event, and snacks will be provided.

Dr. DeWitt’s primary field of teaching and research is American political behavior with particular interests in public opinion and political communication. He recently co-edited a book on #NeverTrump Conservatives and has published articles in numerous academic journals. His current work explores the impact of presidential tweets on US foreign policy.

Dr. Johnson’s research focuses on the contextual and psychological mechanisms that influence electoral behavior, citizen engagement, and political communication. Her current scholarly work investigates how disability status affects political attitudes and outcomes.

Dr. Taylor’s research and teaching interests are in American politics with a focus in American political behavior (e.g., campaigns and elections, public opinion, media politics, and political communication). In addition to his extensive work on political behavior, Dr. Taylor has an upcoming article on runoff elections.

Dr. Snook has research and teaching interests in constitutional law and state-level public policy differences. He will be the moderator.
