Activity Designer - An AI Tool for Lesson Planning

AI tools are rapidly reshaping the landscape of higher education, providing opportunities for faculty members seeking innovative methods to enhance their productivity in various academic processes. In this hands-on workshop we will explore two specialized AI tools within ChatGPT that address lesson planning. The Activity Designer tool helps faculty draft lesson plans that align with the learning process, and the Learning to Learn Coach help to build the learning capability of students as they move through the learning process. By the end of this session, faculty members will be equipped with practical skills and innovative approaches to incorporate ChatGPT into their daily academic practices around teaching and mentoring students. Additionally, we will delve into some of the ethical considerations and limitations of employing AI in academic settings, ensuring participants are equipped with a comprehensive understanding of AI's role in education.
