Book Chat: A Pedagogy of Kindness (Cate Denial)

In A Pedagogy of Kindness, Cate Denial argues that we can reshape and recreate our pedagogy through a systemic and vigorous application of kindness (not, she is clear to say, of niceness) to all strata of our classes: interactions with our students and each other, syllabus, lesson construction, class management, assessment, and our own growth as pedagogues, providing spaces for us all to thrive. The first 15 book chat registrants recieve a free copy of the book. Our chat will be a guided discussion with plenty of time for questions, discussion, and engagement. A short "pre-work" prepatory assignment will be sent out a week before the chat.
