The goal of this program is to introduce first-year students to the undergraduate research experience. First-Year Scholars serve as apprentices and are integrated into the research projects of their Primary Investigator (PI), learning from both the PI and other team members, when applicable. This program helps students gain early research experience, which sets them on a path for future success.
