The Foreign Language Resource Collection is proud to announce an exciting new event: a student video competition!

The theme for our inaugural competition is culinary cultures. Why do the French make crêpes for Candelmas? What’s a moon cake? When do Italians traditionally celebrate with panettone? How do you make hamantaschen? Any undergraduate student in a Department of Foreign Languages course can win up to $200 by submitting a 3-5-minute video celebrating a traditional recipe and its cultural significance.

We plan to share all of the submissions on the FLRC website and organize a “Student Choice” award as part of the prizes.
