  of the biggest challenges we face is how to turn the grading process for 
 our students into a constructive learning experience. This workshop will f
 ocus on how to generate effective feedback that is frequent\, timely\, bas
 ed on clear criteria\, encouraging\, and targeted. During the workshop\, w
 e will explore some of the research about what makes feedback effective\, 
 so that we can help our students move to the next achievable level of perf
 ormance\, no matter what the context for their learning. Participants will
  leave with a plan to enhance the feedback we provide to our students. Not
 e: identical versions of this workshop are scheduled on two different days
  in the same week. These will be very similar to workshops with this title
