Planning the Feedback Process - How to make Feedback Constructive for Students

One of the biggest challenges we face is how to turn the grading process for our students into a constructive learning experience. This workshop will focus on how to generate effective feedback that is frequent, timely, based on clear criteria, encouraging, and targeted. During the workshop, we will explore some of the research about what makes feedback effective, so that we can help our students move to the next achievable level of performance, no matter what the context for their learning. Participants will leave with a plan to enhance the feedback we provide to our students. Note: identical versions of this workshop are scheduled on two different days in the same week. These will be very similar to workshops with this title from prior years.
