Dr. Iván M. Jorrín-Abellán has been at Kennesaw State University since 2014 as a professor of educational research in the Department of Secondary and Middle Grades Education and research catalyst in the Bagwell College of Education. He has expertise in qualitative research methods with extensive experience teaching and researching innovative uses of technology in education. 

His current research focuses on the study and development of models and tools to facilitate the teaching and learning of research methodology in social sciences and education. Dr. Jorrín-Abellán was recognized for his work with the 2019-2020 KSU Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award. He earned a Ph.D. in educational technology in 2006 at the University of Valladolid in Spain.
