The NSF CAREER funding mechanism supports the development of faculty not only as outstanding researchers but also as educators who demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning, and dissemination of knowledge. An essential aspect of successful proposals is creating synergy between the research plan and the education plan and leveraging that synergy to yield enhanced broader impacts. This workshop will help PIs evaluate the integration of their research and education plans and identify their greatest potential for broader impact. Participants who bring an outline of their research plan and education plan to the workshop will get the most benefit from this event.
