"Can I Say That?” is an opportunity to learn about LGBTQ’ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine the role of bias and assumptions in conflict management. If you feel like you should be LGBTQ’ inclusive, but aren’t comfortable with the language, your level of understanding, or how to make your practice inclusive, then this workshop is for you. 

Objectives

Activities and Takeaways from workshop:

• core vocabulary/terminology to use;
• do's and don'ts of what to say/ask;
• basics of gender and sexuality;
• using pronouns, terminology in conflict management;
• and managing bias/assumptions in conflict management

Bio

Dr. Amanda J. Reinke is an Assistant Professor of Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University and conflict manager in private practice. She is a registered mediator and certified conflict and financial coach specializing in LGBTQ’ and small business/nonprofit disputes.
