This one-day event is designed to orient division leadership on the scope and practice of digital accessibility in compliance with DOJ’s recent regulation establishing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as the official standard for all digital content, communication, and applications.

Participants will be given a broad overview of digital accessibility, what it means, and the value and urgency of compliance.  After this overview, they will have the opportunity to attend four breakout sessions demonstrating digital accessibility across multiple common platforms—all participants will have access to all four sessions.  They will also be exposed to methods and resources for understanding the accessibility capacity and limitations of any third-party applications used by the University.  This is especially helpful when making acquisition decisions.

Participants will also find out where they can go for extended resources and extensive training.
