Join us for a one-hour class focused on learning how to create meaningful Alternative Text (alt-text). Alt-text is descriptive text associated with an image. It allows the content and function of an image to be accessible to those with visual or cognitive disabilities.

Participants will learn how to create alt-text by answering the following questions:

  • What do I want my audience to learn from this image?
  • Has it already been described in the adjacent text?
  • Is there a specific part of the image that’s most important for the audience to notice?
  • David Parker
  • Audrey Allison
  • Nikhil Ingle
