This webinar will compare and contrast two of the most popular funding mechanisms provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF): the Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) and Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) programs. The ERI program supports investigators based at non-R1 institutions of higher education who are working in engineering fields and have not yet received sufficient federal research funding. The CAREER program supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
